Canning can be so depressing when you start with a ton of food and end up with next to nothing (comparatively). I didn't have any left over to freeze, and the tomatoes were not cheap. I think this is a great thing to do when you have a garden and lots more tomatoes ripe at one time than you can eat. But not if you have to buy them. I think jarred sauce tastes fine, but wish they wouldn't put so much sugar in it! That's what prompts me to make it myself, until I remember how little you get for all the time and expense....Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08502147011026950051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2695658711837141737.post-83375842946243552882009-09-03T10:57:32.729-06:002009-09-03T10:57:32.729-06:00A recipe is always good, but I am not the least bi...A recipe is always good, but I am not the least bit embarrassed to admit that I prefer Paul Newman's sauce to my own & to most of those that I have tasted. The Calico Cathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06319271181930512880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2695658711837141737.post-53571561940464991472009-09-03T10:46:35.569-06:002009-09-03T10:46:35.569-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11515452957964923679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2695658711837141737.post-46788581419989001452009-09-03T10:46:18.637-06:002009-09-03T10:46:18.637-06:00Wow, I can't believe all those tomatoes only m...Wow, I can't believe all those tomatoes only made 2.5 quarts.
