Amazing!

Wow you guys! This has been so amazing! What a great experience - Thank you!!

I am slowly working through all the links and trying to answer questions as they come in, my inbox has been overflowing. I'm so glad that you are all having a great time seeing inspiring quilts and making new friends :)

I want to encourage some that may not have joined us yet - it does not matter your skill level, or number of quilts completed! If you have just one - post it :) I don't consider myself a master quilter, I just love being a quilter! The majority of those linking up would probably share my thinking too.

I am up to, Friday noon in links - if I haven't made it to your blog yet, I will, I promise, but it may take me all week :) Our family weekend has been a bit busy, with Saturday morning Soccer game, a sewing lesson with a friend, and company on Friday night. Tonight we are going to friends' house to watch the Amazing Race - 0ur little tradition. Hopefully with the return of school tomorrow, and the routine, I will have a little more time to make the rounds :)

If you haven't been back since Friday and reading in your reader or email - come back and check out some more links! I've gotten a few responses about how meaningful the comments have been - let's keep it going.

Blessings ~
Amy

  2. Amy, thanks for this wonderful event. I’m having so much fun.

I received a stunning number of comments on my post about my favourite quilt and they are all so kind. I try to work my way through all the posts of the participants.

  3. How fun Amy! Great idea and such neat stories shared.

Still on spring break otherwise I'd sooo participate too! Just don't have the photos with me to share.

  4. This was a great idea. It does take a long time to scroll through all the blogs and then if you leave a comment it takes even longer. But it's nice to leave comments because at a live quilt show you don't actually get to talk to the maker and here you actually are talking to the quilters themselves. I've had great comments and I've left lots for others. Thanks again for hosting this great quilt show.

  5. Amy, this has been great. I have been watching the numbers grow. BTW, Emma (roughly comment number 323) stated a warning on some of the posters.

  11. I haven't posted my quilt yet, but hope to post it tomorrow night, and then add it to the list. Thanks for giving us "permission" to post what we have! (I have a couple favorite quilt tops that aren't quilted yet cuz I'm procrastinating the stippling part!)

  12. I've corrected my link twice so that when people click on my name, they go directly to the post with my "festival" quilt and not my more recent posts on my blog, BUT...I see they STILL go to the most recent post. I can't figure out how to get them ONLY to the post with the quilt I put on "exhibit" here. HELP!!!

  21. WOW, there are so many entries, I am not sure I will get to see them all. Excellent!

I agree that skill level doesn't matter. I made my first quilt last year. I have finished on other and have a top ready to be quilted. I have also made one wall-hanging. Not a lot, but I am a quilter for sure!

Thank you, thank you, for the inspiration! I pulled out a quilt that I made years ago, never taken a picture of it and posted it...I love that quilt! It is one of my design and that makes it more special. I have a couple of these quilts....maybe you can keep this going and we can post more!!!!lol

  36. Amy,

As the days pass I marvel more and more about what you have created and the fact that you are taking the time to visit so many blogs and leave comments. You are a very special lady!

Marvellous is the word for your Bloggers Quilt Festival which I am sure will become a cherished tradition among quilters. I'd no idea there were so many quilters blogging! Being able to visit with them, enjoy their quilts and their stories, leave comments and receive replies, is just too wonderful for words!

    Thank you so much!

Glad I have a few more hours to blog about one of my favorite quilts!
