I've been cracking up with all the comments I've had the last few days! A few of them really are plain gross too - next time I may think a little harder about the sort of comments I ask for :) I was hoping to not get bored - that's all!
Today I finally managed to get a haircut - I've been overdue for a couple of months. It feels really nice to have it all cut off again! I'm not at all attached - can you tell?
Yes, I know there's root's in there - I'd rather buy my color in a box and spend the rest on fabric - Thank you! At least you can't see most of the gray right now :) A fun bob to get me through the coming summer. **Question for anyone that is a beautician - why do some seem to be anti thinning with a razor?? My hair needs it, the thinning shears only thin the ends- it seems. I'm mostly curious :)
Ella had her last day of third grade today, on the way this morning she told me she didn't want it to be the last day. She misses her friends during the summer. I'm looking forward to getting outside with the kids and having fun! Last year Owen was just 1 and a good napper - I'm just beginning to see the benefits of not having a baby around anymore. Now to get him out of diapers . . .
I took a bunch of self-portraits, and I'm thinking this will be in my profile for a while.
Happy Weekend ~
Amy
PS - I haven't gotten any cutting/sewing done yet this week! I've been busy looking through all the giveaways and keeping up with the kids :) I think today is the day!

great post & wonderful new 'do! I'm long overdue myself and also take care of the greys on my own (though you wouldn't know it at the moment, I'm overdue there as well)! Hope you all enjoy the summer and looking forward to reading about the adventures!
ReplyDeleteI love the new cut too!! Yes, it does make you look younger (although 20 years younger, would be about 11 years old, right?) :) I just did the same thing to mine a few night ago and also had it majorly thinned out. I will post pics soon too :)
ReplyDeleteYour hair cut is so cute it looks so cool for summer! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI just love the color of lipstick your wearing too!
;-)
Very cute cut! You look great! Wish I looked good with short hair.
ReplyDeletehey hot mama! you look fabulous. Love you!!!
ReplyDeleteThe new cut looks great! We buy color in a box for my hubby, and I have mine done at the salon once or twice a year... because it's so darn expensive! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour hair cut is so cute and as far as the roots and the grey go, well I didn't see them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a change Amy, it looks amazing. Now I need to go get mine cut, thanks for reminding me!
ReplyDeleteVery nice and remember having my hair cut and it was like a massive weight was lifted.. and it freed up mornings when routine counted for school!! YAY!

You are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteRe: "A fun bob to get me through the coming summer."
I have to admit that my inner Beavis and Butthead are both saying, 'huh huh... huh huh huh' right now.
OK the hair is totally fabulous! I love it - you look so cute! And I love Jeremy Camp - he started playing when I clicked on here. Yeah, I'm debating going dark again - the blond takes a lot of up-keep.
ReplyDeleteLove it! You are one beautiful lady. I hope you have a fun summer break with the kids!
ReplyDeletecute haircut! you look great! every other year I grow out my hair really long and donate it so I'm due for a new haircut in about 5 months!

ReplyDeleteYour eyes are gorgeous!!
Dig it!
ReplyDeleteWow! Very pretty!!! My box is waiting..calling to me right now.
ReplyDeleteCUTE hair!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks wonderful! I have never had the nerve to go short, but it looks fantastic on you.:)
ReplyDeleteI so understand the hair thing! I go from long to short all the time and everyone is so shocked that I'm not attached to it. It looks beautiful! I'm a box person most of the time, but once a year I splurge and get my friend (hairstylist) to do highlights for me. Your eyes are like the icy waters in the rockies - that greenish blue hue!
ReplyDeleteOkay, and I'm glad I'm not the only one to ask - what colour/kind is your lipstick? It's really pretty!
i love your new haircut!!!! and your new profile photo, too. so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty eyes! Dreamy! You look great.
ReplyDeleteAnd all too soon Ella will be saying, I don't want to go back to school -smile-.

ReplyDeleteUmm, I think my hair is now longer than both yours and mom's, who woulda' thought!?! Looks good too! i gotta come see you guys soon!
ReplyDeleteAmy, You look great. It's so nice to see a short stylish haircut!
ReplyDeleteI like the new doo, looks good on you!
ReplyDeleteCute haircut...really frames your face well. The reason no one wants to use the razor to thin is because they are afraid of it & aren't taught to use it like that any more. I went through beauty school many years ago, and we were taught to cut with a razor as well as a scissors as that was the style then, but I have a niece who has been out of beauty school for several years, and she wasn't really taught how to use it except to trim neck hairs. I think that is because the styles are different now, more bobbed hair. There are other ways to thin now too, they just don't take as much out.
ReplyDeleteAmy- just had to say I LOVE your hair cut! It looks so pretty, and I bet will be nice and easy for the summer. Enjoy your new 'do!
ReplyDeleteKim
your hair is adorable!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletecute cut! I love the new profile pic too.
ReplyDeleteMy hairdresser goes crazy with the thinning shears and razor...as far as I'm concerned, she can take as much out as she wants. Thick hair can be really hot in the summertime
Hey Amy! I love your hair!! And I totally understand the NEED for the thinning with the razor. I have a hard time finding someone to do it too. But I NEED it! :) You look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWonderful haircut, and love the last photo. congrats!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! You and your cut! Perfect for summer!!
