First is Laura from Snip and Snail, she has gotten involved in a very special project that honors mothers who have died in childbirth. As a mom with 4 healthy children, and 4 uncomplicated pregnancies it's easy to forget that things don't always go as planned.
Laura's posts are beautifully written with emotion that is real - and pouring it all into her quilts as well. Go read this one, and then this one. There's room for lots more quilting volunteers, Laura has all the links in her posts.
Second is Craft for Health. I was impressed by how many of your favorite quilts helped you through very difficult times in life. This blog is encouraging all forms of craft, and is looking for more stories of how quilting has been a source of health in your life. There's quite a bit of information shared on Craft for Health too!

Wow, thanks for the heads up. You just never think that's even possible when you go in to have your baby! I know I sure wasn't expecting it when I lost my second baby at 36 weeks. Motherhood is a ride, for sure.

Thank you Amy for sharing these links. I also experienced the pain of losing a baby, it's something you never get over. And yet I simply can't imagine families who go on without mothers. My heart and prayers are with them.
