Quilt Along Top

Hi all! I managed to get my quilt top together! I love all the colors and beautiful prints. It is SO big!

My HUGE top :)

My helpers were holding it down while the wind was blowing :) I am still working out the batting and backing, really just crossing my fingers! Part of the quilt-along this week is a long-arm quilting giveaway :)

I'm super behind in my reader - I can't seem to keep up with it since school's been out! Maybe I'll do that tomorrow instead of sewing . . . maybe :)

Blessings~
Amy

Gorgeous quilt (and cute kids too!!)
I suspect you used more than the suggested amount of fabric.
That quilt is going to be HUGE!!!
Good luck with it.

Yay! It looks fantastic! I love them big, I don't often do small quilts. I think big quilts are so useful. I love your colors.

The colours are beautiful. I would keep on sewing. There is always time for reading later. (I can't believe I just said that. I have been a reader all my life).

It looks like many flavors of ice cream all swirled together. Good enough to eat but I'd rather curl up on a couch or snuggle down in the bed with such a quilt. You did a great job.

It is absolutely beautiful and HUGE! R u quilting it yourself? Wow, I'm impressed!

Wow is that beautiful, and BIG! I love the colors. It's going to be a real treat the first time you snuggle under it!

It looks fabulous!!! How many more half yards did you use than the original 12?

Wow, that is a big quilt. Very beautiful and will look so great on a bed. I make so many baby and throw quilts it is always nice (although a pain at times) to make one that actually fits a bed. Anyway - just wanted to suggest looking for a king flat sheet for your back. That way there is no piecing involved and anyways backing of that size can get expensive quick because they require so much fabric. I've often been able to find a really nice top sheet at places like TJMaxx or outlet linen stores at great prices. Can't wait to see it finished! Way to go!

Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! What more can be said.

That is a big quilt. I just love that you have such good helpers. It would be nice if you would win the long-arm quilting giveaway. The more I look at the quilt the more I like it.

Beautiful quilt...good thing you have some good helpers, or your quilt might have blown away to OZ.

Great job! How are you going to quilt it now? Do you have a longarm machine that you use?? I just bought a midarm machine, but am re-doing my room before I put it up because I know I will never work on the room after it is up and running! I have many quilt tops waiting for it to be ready!! :) Can't wait! I'm interested in what you're doing on yours!

This will be an awesome quilt. My pinwheel star that I entered in the Quilt Festival was 93" X 112" and it is just right on our king size bed using the matching shams.

I love the colour combo. There is such movement in this quilt.
