New Notions!

Thank you all for your kind words of congratulations!  I'm so very happy to be busy quilting for my book - but it is hard to not share my work here.  My family is not as excited about my quilts as all of you usually are :)

Look what came to my mailbox over the weekend!

My mom reads my blog, and saw my letter to Santa last month.  She took it upon herself to fulfill my most practical wishes!

These little thread clippers are so sharp and perfect for clipping the millions of threads hanging on my projects.  I do try to clip as I go but there are times . . . you know!  I just have to be careful not to hurt myself with them!  If you been with me for a while you know I'm a bit of a klutz :)

In other news - I hit 500 followers on Sunday!  Thanks for the follows - I hope you all enjoy the time you spend here!

I'm not ready for my girls to go back to school - I've been up late, too late, quilting and enjoy the quiet house, but we start our week with the usual Monday madness!  I hope you have a great week -
Amy

HUGE Congrats, Amy! It must be hard not to share your bookwork.
I, too, share the same responses at my house - no one here at home really enjoys my "stuff" as much as my blog friends do!

Oh you luckygirl!! Those little snips are a quilter's dream. I had to give up on binding clips.... my teenagers keep stealing them for their hair!

I'm so happy you got the notions you were hoping to have! YAY!

I do love to stop here and look through your projects as well as clicking on your daily reads of creativity. So, your family may not be excited about some of your fabric playing, but there are plenty of others who are!

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~

Don't you love mothers? I'm 42 and still rang my mum for consolation yesterday when my morning was going badly and the kids were doing my head in! I hope I'm doing as well for my boys when they are 40!
I'm planning a trip to SLC (from Australia). Any must do, quilt destinations?

I love those little snippy scissors! Mine aren't the GOOD Ginghers but they work great and I love that shape! What do you do w/ the threads? I keep a tape roller on my desk and stickem' there. Any good ideas?

Happy New year! WEndyB @ ThatSeamsFun.com (I guess I'm now your 501 follower :)

Hey Wendy! I usually just let them fall to the floor and sweep or vacuum them up later! I know, that's horrible - oh well! No matter what I do there's bits on the floor after a sewing session so, I just go with it :)

Don't Moms spoil their girls? You will love your new notions. Ginghers are the best! That family lives in my city. Small world, isn't it? Congrats on writing a book. Happy New Year! Love & blessings from NC!

What a sweet mom to get you want you wanted! I need some small scissors too. My big ones always threaten to cut too much!

Wow Amy, that's wonderful that your mother came through for you with the gifts. Those thread clippers look great. Enjoy both the gifts and your dear mother.
