On My Mind

Hi there!  I've been so glad to hear from so many of you, making the move with me easily here :)  I love to know that this space is part of your morning/daily routines, and thanks for the profile pic love!  I had my hair cut and colored by a professional.  A nice treat and I had to document it!

Last week I went to a guild meeting to share my quilts - I had fun talking with fellow quilters, and meeting a blog friend!  Emily invited me to share a while back, thankfully it worked out after my deadline, unfortunately Joe was called for Jury Duty the very same day!  Not wanting to bail on Emily, I packed up the kids and made the drive - I'm so glad I did too!

Emily put together this sweet basket of goodies :)  you should know that all the chocolate is now gone, and one cake mix was put to good use as cupcakes the next day!  But I can't bear to open those fat quarter rosettes - too cute!

One more thing - a few month back Joe found himself a pair of nice cowboy boots.  I laughed at first, 7 years in a small town and he finally caves, but then he kept telling me how comfortable they are!  I looked online to see what sort of offerings for ladies - just in case. . . over the weekend we were in Salt Lake, and happened on a sale.  I just wanted to try a few pair, but now these are mine!
They fit like a glove!  And don't read too cowboy :)  They have applique, distressed leather, and a nice pointy toe - what do you think?  Are you laughing at me?  Honestly, it's okay if you are :)

    What a sweet sweet basket Emily put together for your visit. I adore that cupcake! And your cowboy boots are awesome! Very stylish with a perfectly broken in look. I would totally wear those!

    What a cute cupcake! and on the boots front - I LOVE mine. They are so comfy! And I get just a little sense of attitude or verve when I wear them :) I wish I could wear them all the time, but because of the leather & leather soles, I am overly careful in wet weather. Enjoy yours!

    Yeah, I'm laughin' . . . but just cuz you're so funny! LOVE the boots -- every girl needs a good pair of those! It's all I ever wear -- even for "dress-up" -- I have 3 pairs!

    "And don't read too cowboy" Um Amy. They're COWBOY BOOTS. I'm in cowboy country here too, and yep - they're cowboy boots.

    But they are really cute, and I love distressd leather. They'll look so gorgeous with jeans or a skirt! I've heard they're very comfy.

    and a hat...and a piece of straw hangin from your teeth. LOL!

    I like the basket very cute, and boots Well Ok I chuckled a little. But I know they're comfy. Enjoy.
    Does the little guy have a pair yet that's when they're really cute. And think they they're cool because they match dad!

    Love that cupcake pincushion! And I'm all for wearing shoes if they're comfortable...but when you say they "don't read too cowboy" umm... could you show us a pair of boots that DO read as cowboy so we could see the difference? ;-)

    HA!!! I recently joined the boot club too! I thought my hubby would tease me about it but he didn't! He thinks they look cute on me. And yes they are so super comfy! I love the slight heel and height it gives me! I love your pair they already look broken in! hmmm, maybe I'll post pics of mine on my blog soon

    I love those boots. They are the absolute best. I wish I could wear cowboy boots. I have a size 12 foot and I think they may look too much like guys boots.

    Cute boots! I used to wear those kind everyday. Now (no longer in the "country") I wear the more square toe variety but I love em, so comfy, I can't stand to wear sneakers anymore.

    the one thing I will never EVER get rid of is my dark red cowboy boots. I don't wear them often, but they do get loaned out occasionally, and therefore have a chance to party. Just not with me wearing them. *sigh*

    I love your boots! I have been wanting some for a few years now, but they can be such an investment, and I haven't ever found any that weren't (as you said) "too cowboy."

    My daughter loves her cowboy boots and wears them with her cute sundresses. The girls here wear them with everything actually and they are adorable. I want to get a pair myself. My husband and daughter say that cowboy boots are so comfortable. Love & blessings from NC!

    I was so jealous of Auntie Em Auntie Em (have to say it twice 'cos I hear Dorothy Gale saying it every time I see it)when she blogged about getting together with you, and now I am jealous of you for getting together with her! What a rosy glow must have been generated by two such generous and talented women being together!
