Featured Quilters

Hi there!  How was your weekend?  Have you made it very far through the list?

I have had a nice weekend celebrating my birthday with the family (thank you for the birthday wishes!) and keeping up with all of you here.  As of last night I am to #50 - not very far - yet....I've been fixing links and reading your lovely comments - thank you :).

I mentioned this in my Festival post, but I want to remind you about it again - I need your feature nominations for after the festival - please!

While you are blog hopping - please let me know if you see a quilter you would like to see featured on my blog.  I plan to continue the Friday features after the festival and always need more nominations!

Thanks for your help - I hope you are enjoying the show!
Amy

Amy, I was so pleased to see that you made it to my post ! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your lovely comment.

I do have a nomination for your features........

This was the most touching post I have run across.......granted I have not gotten to see as many posts as I would love to, but this girl has such a beautiful way with words when writing about our craft !

The festival is amazing once again, Amy! You are further ahead than I am, but I'm also suppose to be preparing for an upcoming wedding so I'm trying very hard NOT to be distracted by quilt hopping and only visiting a few sites at a time. I figure I'll have the whole summer to keep coming back here to quilt surf :-)

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~

I am happy to have your comment on my BLOG. Even on your birthday week-end you took time to check out Blogs. I am glad I joined the QBF again this year. I'm amazed at how many are linked already. More hopping to do. Thanks again!

Thanks for doing this, Amy! I am a new quilter and find the posts so very inspiring - and I LOVE your blog!

I am checking out the quilts in a totally random fashion... just saw this one and would love to have you feature the quilter:

http://eschhousequilts.blogspot.com/2010/05/bloggers-quilt-festival.html

I love the way she wrote about her beautiful and unique quilt.

I agree w/ Dolly. I loved reading everydaychaos' touching words.

I'm only through #38. This is so fun. I can't believe you're up to 500! How will we ever make it through all these???? :D

Thanks for hosting this quilt festival. I've seen a lot of neat stuff and cool blogs I had never been to before.

I'd like to nominate this quilter:
http://2hippos.blogspot.com/2010/05/bloggers-quilt-festival-spring-2010.html

I like the way she (I assume?) wrote about what she's learned and how her quilt shows that. And I just noticed she has a long process post. I haven't read it yet but that seems to be a new trend.

Well first, Happy Belated Birthday :D. I'm celebrating mine today and I think a perfect way would be looking at all these quilt posts curled up under my just finished quilt :).

Oh my! I haven't gotten too far yet either. I did get past 100. I figure with the amount of blogs listed it should take a couple more weeks. But oh the beautiful quilts there and I don't want to miss one of them.

I think the one that touched me the most was: http://baileygirl5.blogspot.com/2010/05/bloggers-quilt-festival.html
- I just love the way she wrote about the quilt and her son and how her friends shipped in fabric for her and the finished quilt is so kind of wild and bold and colourful. The whole festival is so much fun. I've visited them all and left as many comments as I can (!) but there are soooo many. It's tought to choose favourites - I could have given you about 50 faves.

I am really enjoying this Festival, thanks for organising it.

I would love to see Paulette from http://sweetp-paulette.blogspot.com/ as a featured blogger. Her blog is always such fun and so funny.

I have to share with you a funny little giggle I just had while scrolling through your blog: as I was moving down I saw on the right your search words for your blog. The first words were "My kids give away works in progress." For a split second I thought oh how sad that your kids give away your WIP's.

Happy Birthday!!

Is it too late to join the quilt festival?

OMG! That is A LOT of links to read through. I'm going to forge through as much as I can tonight and hopefully get through the list by the end of the Festival :P.

Happy reading and happy quilting!

Amy, This is a wonderful event. I am enjoying visits to the "exhibitors" and then I see blogs in their sidebars that look interesting and......wow, what a great way to "meet" new bloggers and see so many lovely quilts and creative things. Thank you!

Well, I've almost made it to 200, but I had to stop last night to watch 5 hours of Lost. I'll be back at it tomorrow - I'm loving it! I have a few quilters in mind to email you about!

I'm visiting in random batches of 25 rather than starting at number 1 - I reckon the later entrants get fewer visitors as we all run out of steam! Thank goodness the links on the list turn blue or I'd get very confused! Over 500 entries is awesome, well done Amy :)

I haven't gotten through all of them but my favorite so far is the community garden quilt:
