Home Machine Quilting Show

What a day!! Ella had her last soccer game this morning, she won! The sunshine was great and the little ones did a great job of cheering Ella on :) She got her first goal today even!

After Joe was done working and we met up at the house, I grabbed the camera and took off for Salt Lake. Thanks to him I was able to go on my own and enjoy a few hours of all things QUILT! good times :)

Here's a few pictures of quilts on display :

Believe it or not there are more quilts in my flickr - I had a hard time selecting a favorite! If you click on any of the pictures it will take you over and there and I'm going to add comments over there too.

There's more to the day, people and purchases - I will tell you about them in the week. For now Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely ladies out there, whether a mom or mom at heart, you deserve to be recognized just the same!
Blessings ~
Amy

Those quilts are just fabulous! Isn't the one of the birds Nanette's pattern? It looks like it. Well, I am off to your flickr. Happy Mother's Day to you too, Amy!

What a beautiful quilt show! I loved the collection of seasons, but my most favorite was the quilt with the all white quilting, with the orange medallion in the center and the brown border. Did you have a favorite? Have a very happy mothers day!

Incredible quilts! Just amazing at the talents and gifts God has given to people. I especially loved the tree one at the top - while I was reading the beginning of your post I thought it was a picture you took of Ella outside or something with the bright blue sky - and then I saw it wasn't a picture at all but a beautiful quilt!

Amy, those are gorgeous quilts...I really liked the A Mother's Love. Was that a panel and then she appliqued the border?

Just curious...

Living in Illinois and having just been to BYU Women's Conference the weekend before, I wasn't able to go to HMQS this year. I went a couple of years ago and loved it! I love taking classes there too - to learn more about making my quilts better! The Hot Air Balloon quilt is awesome - I saw David Taylor on TQS - The Quilt Show - online in a video - he is a great quilter and only started a few years ago! Amazing! He said he is short - and so he wanted to do the hot air balloons from a viewpoint of standing on the ground looking up. Very impressive! Thanks for sharing the quilts with us! I am virtually loving being there thru your eyes of the camera! Thank you!
