Color wheel supplies:
Have you managed to collect yours? I thought a 6" hoop seemed more doable right now, use any size hoop that you have or want to use! I use the ruler to divide the space up.
I tried measuring and it didn't work! Just eyeball based on the number of colors you are using. I will be using 12, after dividing it into quarters, I eyeballed the thirds from there. If you are using a large hoop - you may need to put a few books under to draw your lines.
If you want a circle, look around the house for a few circles and audition the sizes.
Center as best as possible and trace. I used a cup base first, but it was too big. This is a 2 Tbsp measuring cup/spoon.
All of the floss colors are listed in this post. That is a great place to start if you missed it! I'll be back soon with a little news/explanation :)

oooh, I don't have any supplies yet. I didn't know we were doing this together. I want to do one. I need to get some supplies first.
ReplyDeleteI got my supplies over the lunch hour today!
ReplyDeleteWooo! I am so ready for this...I have a picture to send you :p
ReplyDeleteWhat did you use to draw your lines? I'm afraid that what I would use won't necessarily come out easily enough.
Yeah!!! I've been waiting for you to post this. I'm ready to go...well, not really...but I will be ready tomorrow. Let the fun begin!!
ReplyDeleteI'll be ready tomorrow, at least I hope I will. The shop I'm getting the thread from sells Anchor not DMC so I'm having to convert the DMC numbers, which sounded easy enough until I found several different charts, giving wildly different conversion values! Methinks shopping tomorrow could be interesting...
ReplyDeleteOh and what should I draw the lines with? I'm guessing not a biro!
