That feels really good to say! I think everyone should be able to say that every once in a while :) Such a good boost! While the Quilt Festival was going on I managed to visit a few of you and left comments - one turned me into a giveaway winner.Rene had an unannounced giveaway and happened to select my number! How great is that!? Thank you Rene! I love the kit and never would have bought it for myself!
My friend Amy has started a group to share moments, all of them, not just the glossy perfect moments that often end up on the blog. So you should notice that I did not clear the entire table before taking these pictures, and I did not crop the extra stuff out either. There's lots more less than perfect in my house I will get around to sharing eventually. . . Amy wrote a great post last week that really resonates with me, and this idea - I encourage you to go read for yourself!
Blessings ~
Amy

Oooh congratulations! So glad you won something after all the hard work you put in for the Quilt Festival :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats! If anyone deserved a giveaway last week, it was totally you, lady :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I follow Amy's blog and loved that post too x
ReplyDeleteI agree - you deserve a prize!
ReplyDelete(And that table doesn't look so bad!)
winning is fun!!!
ReplyDeleteso is keeping it real!!
Congratulations Amy! It is fun to say you are a winner, especially when you get such a great loot like that. I love that bag (of course) and that pattern, and everything else too. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWith all the work you devoted to the festival, it's only fair that you're a prizewinner. Looks like sweet goodies.
ReplyDeleteI read your friend Amy's blog. I totally agree with her viewpoint, and I love the "real" photos that you both included in your blogs. Seeing real life is much more satisfying than seeing "staged" and "cropped life."
Thanks for sharing the link to Amy's blog! There are more days than not that I feel that same way. It's so nice to feel normal again! :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent post from Amy--it took me awhile to even post semi-regularly because I wanted my blog to be perfect too! We are all so deluded or maybe jaded or . . .human. Thanks for pointing me toward this, and congrats on the win--that's almost as good as chocolate!
ReplyDeleteYay! I think it is fantastic that you won such a cool giveaway, Amy! It seems like a perfect reward after hosting the festival.
ReplyDeleteReal pictures? Mine are always real. I love to take pictures, but do not have a photographer's eye AT ALL and therefore I typically can't even crop to get a decent picture. Oh well.
Off to read Amy's post on this topic....
Blessings,
