Super Full Week!

Hi there!  It has been one of those weeks, where everything happens - all at once!!  I've had scheduled posts, filling in the gaps for my busyness, which is great since I have no sewing that I can share with you :(

Tuesday I had lunch with Natalia and Amy, (I met Amy last year).  Amy came up from Salt Lake, where she's visiting her mom, with her kiddos and we all congregated at my house.  Soup for the ladies, Mac&Cheese for the kids - we had such a blast, talking, talking, talking for 3 hours, while the kids played!   If you have a chance to meet up with a blog friend ever - I highly encourage it!  It's nerve-wracking at first, but the jitters pass as soon as you start chatting :)

With my book my initial plan was to quilt all my projects myself - thankfully Natalia saw the trouble I was getting myself into before I did, and I've been taking them to her (my deadline is getting really close!).  It was hard at first to relinquish that control, but after getting my first two quilts back this week I am SO happy to have her quilt them!  Amazing quilting and she's fast!!  She's quilting them faster than I can crank out the tops :)

Today it's snowing like mad, and I've switched vehicles with Joe again, as he has further to drive in the fluffy white stuff.  I've already shoveled once, and the truck just slid down the driveway a little - ack!!  Guess I need to get out there again!  Of course I'd rather stay in and get more sewing done :)

I have no pictures today a snowy scene out my window from my computer.  Hopefully the plow comes by again soon!

Blessings ~
Amy

PS - there's a book giveaway and fabric giveaway going on!  And tomorrow I will have the first Featured Blogger from the Quilt Festival!  Stay tuned :)

PPS - I've nominated for an award by multiple bloggers!  Thank you!!  But I don't think I will have a chance to play along :(  You guys are the best!

I'm glad you like the quilts Amy! I can't believe how much it snowed last night. I hate it but it's so pretty! :)

Looking forward to the book. and the snow is beautiful (this being said from someone in Central California where it is raining like crazy).

That's awesome about your snow! So beautiful! The shoveling, not so much.
I'm glad you have someone quilting for you too. That must be a HUGE relief! Can't wait to see your finished projects.

wow. Most of our snow from Christmas Day is gone now... I don't think I could handle it if we were to have another big storm right away. I can't wait to see your book, I bet your quilts are amazing!

It's amazing how when you ASK for help - people will actually HELP! Yay Natalia! Yay Amy! Here in sunny Southern CA we're having our own brand of miserable weather right now - Torrential Rain, Huge rivers in the gutters overflowing onto the sidewalks....wet and nasty! My boys would LOVE to have your snow - and the older one would probably even help shovel!

Urgh - snow.... we had piles here in Wales and I was snow-bound for 19 days in a row. It went for a couple of days then came back! Just you saying the truck slid strikes a chill in my heart! Drive safely!!

Well here I sit outside on a day that is meant to reach the high 30's (celsius that is so into the 100's in F) in Sydney absolutely LOVING that photo because my family and I are headed to Park City for some skiing in about four weeks time! Here's hoping it's still around.

Amy I would love to get in contact with you about places to visit (fabric wise) while I'm there. I'm sure the husband will think me completely daft but like you, I dream in fabric!

Like Mel, I dream of snow like that! In Adelaide it topped 40 C yesterday. Unfortunately, unlike Mel, I'm not headed there to make good use of the snow any time soon!

I can't believe I never commented on this! It's been a crazy month or so! It was so fun to meet up with you guys. I say we make it a tradition. :)

I'm glad Natalia is doing your quilts. I still need to get you my aunt's number so if you want some lessons or something you could do that once you are in the waiting phase for the book. xo
