Dresden Plates Update!

Just popping in to show you where I've gone with the Dresden Plates!  They are laid on top of one another so far - I'm hand stitching them in place, it's just like stitching a binding in place.
I hope you don't get tired of seeing this project...I'm really happy to be making it for my DQS partner :)

Are you working on a project for a friend?

It's Great! I like how the patterned fabrics make it look like a 5 petal flower... the polka dot ones fade back.. so darling!

This is incredible!! I love the pieced border and especially the layers. The white layer is a perfect break in the layers. True inspiration!!!

My ruler has been ordered. So now I wait and look at these every day! I bought a cheap set of dresden templates, just to try it out but i am not to impressed, it only fits 12 and they seem to wide to me. But i think for a first try i did not to bad. I will have to get something up on my blog, maybe tomorrow.
