I'm It!

Random me -

1 - I seem to have a hard time being aware of my fingers/body. . . I got three stitches this evening, left hand, middle finger, knuckle - I was trying to give Owen a hair cut. Now his hair really needs help, and I have vowed to never, ever take scissors to a child's head!

2 - I've never been further east in the US than Utah. I really want to see the rest of the country!

3 - I visited friends in Ecuador for a month after I graduated from high school. My Spanish is rusty but I can get by in a pinch!

4 - I love my Sonicare toothbrush! I will never go back to a manual brush - it is so much better.

5 - Every spring break in college was spent in Baja, Mexico, working with local churches and camping. Great memories :)

6 - My favorite soup right now is here - yummy black bean soup. I use dried beans, instead of canned - just rinse them well after the soak to remove the gassy enzymes :) I've had this soup for lunch the last 5 days! so good

Photo Challenge

Audrey has tagged me! It's a little different than the usual meme you see all over blogland - here's the instructions:

I recently put all my pictures on an external hardrive. I have this knack for clogging up the computer :) so this helps keep more space available. My fourth picture on my memory card - which was actually taken in May!
I'm pretty sure this is the view from the kitchen window. See those tree branches on the bottom left? That's how I know. Mt. Timpanogos, which have been completely covered in clouds/snow the last three days. I'm not sure why I took it but I do love watching the light play on the mountain peaks.

And so to tag 4 people. . . Penny, Amy, Jaimie, and Amy. I hope that you ladies can get to this in the midst of this busy time.

Yes, I know lots of Amy's. In fact, I've had a best friend Amy most of my life :) I've even thought of making a blog just list all the blogs authored by an Amy!

7 Random Facts

I was tagged last week by Summer, and have been a bit remiss in posting - oops! I always love reading the random meme's about others so figured I better play along.








Oh, and it started snowing about an hour ago! It won't stay, but it is still crazy to see snow on the trees with leaves :)

1 ~ I greatly dislike feet. Especially bare feet touching my bare feet.

2 ~ I've been feeling extra domestic lately. Planning menu's and whatnot - it seems that fall is here!

3 ~ I really need to recover my ironing board.

4 ~ I enjoy flavored creamers in my coffee - usually fat free.

5 ~ TV I like : Project Runway, Top Design, 30 Rock, The Office, The Amazing Race, The Locator, What Not To Wear, 'Til Death.

6 ~ I learned to sew via 4-H at the age of 10, my mom is a seamstress but left-handed, and didn't want me to learn backward. I don't think this would have been a problem, but had a great learning experience anyway. I made lots of garments for myself and won ribbons at the fair.

7 ~ My most recent read was "The Shack" - I highly recommend it!

What was I doing 10 years ago?
In 1998, I was a Junior in college. I met my husband that year and was extremely busy studying and working. Vanguard University was my home for 4 years, while I poured over books and made great friends.

3. Taking pictures - I love having a digital camera, I can photograph everything and delete what I don't want.

5. Heber City, Utah
Sadly, Utah is the furthest east I have ever been in the US. I lived in Ecuador for a month after high school - but that doesn't really count, does it? I have a few other stamps in my now expired passport too.
